Chairman at Colliers International - Utah

Things sometimes come full circle in life and business. For me, this happened recently while visiting the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce at their building located 2696 North University Avenue in Provo, Utah. My first official office building listing as a teenager and commercial real estate professional in 1991-1992 was this very building, which was then referred to as the Beneficial Life Insurance building. I am so thankful for the Agency Manager at the time, David Reeves, who was willing to take a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to market the building. In the middle of marketing the building I decided to take a 2 year sabbatical, serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When my parents were driving me to the Mission Training Center (MTC) in August of 1992 to prepare to leave for Hawaii on my mission, I had them pull over to take my picture in front with my commercial real estate sign. I have posted here that pic of me at 19 years old in front of the building, preparing to leave business behind. Now, 32 years later, I have a sign back out front of the building, marketing the office space available in partnership with my dear friend, John Monson at Colliers. Even though the landscaping has changed, the building remains the same (with upgrades) - now with 4,769 square feet for sale at $987,630.

Brandon. I was so happy to read your note about what you were doing in the Commercial Real Estate business as a teenager. Over the years when I heard from others that you were positively the number One realator in the whole valley, I wa thrilled. How come none of us were surprised?

Perhaps the emotion of your ‘full circle’ moment of later in life inspired your initial sense of your calling when young.

This is very, very, very cool. Thanks for sharing the history on this. Fist bump on that one!

So proud of you always my dear friend and remember the days of no area code in phone numbers :)!

I enjoy the fact that you genuinely appreciate your journey. You don’t just speak your faith, you live it for others to witness. Very cool story indeed!!
