What is the true state of machine vision? I get that there are cheap, small business video surveillance providers, providing cheap, analytic fucntions on low powered devices - which are almost more gimmick than anything else. But we also have TESLA's - supposedly state of the art machine vision, driving into trains because they failed to detect them and other instances of such failures. Is there any provider of intrusion detection machine vision that can claim reliability. Around 2014 we deployed a huperlab system at an estate on the south coast. I cannot recall the system having any issues of missing detections with line crossing back then. It was pretty effective - but very expensive as well. Any proven recommendations?
