In one of my recent posts on the Sony acquisition of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain... I expressed surprise that major streamers like Disney, Netflix, or Amazon Prime didn’t make a play for it. The potential for exclusive content showcases and promotional experiences seemed like a perfect fit for these media giants. However, I just learned that Netflix is taking an innovative approach by building their own locations called #NetflixHouse. Set to open in 2025, with the first one in the Galleria Dallas, these venues will offer immersive experiences based on popular shows like Stranger Things and Bridgerton. This move is pretty fascinating! By creating dedicated spaces, Netflix can control the entire customer journey from streaming to real-world interactions. Netflix is planning to open its second brick-and-mortar entertainment venue at Galleria Dallas in Texas. The Netflix Houses, debuting in 2025, will transform over 100,000 square feet of former department store space into experiential entertainment venues. What will be featured? 🎬 Immersive experiences from beloved Netflix shows like "Bridgerton," "Squid Game," and "Stranger Things" (I personally loved Altered Carbon, but that was sadly cancelled!) 🛍️ Retail stores selling exclusive Netflix merchandise 🍽️ Themed dining inspired by your favorite series and films 🎮 Sports, gaming activities, and virtual reality experiences Interesting idea for redevelopment of regional malls.  Based on the success of their fan experience pop-ups, Netflix is planning to launch two full-service concept venues called Netflix House.   Scheduled for launch in 2025, the vision for Netflix House is all about giving viewers a chance to “live” their favorite shows. From clothing to food to real-life experiences lifted from their favorite shows – Netflix House is all about the fan experience.

➡️ From online to offline and viceversa. It's not surprising that Netflix is going to launch permanent retail destinations in US by 2025, according to rumours. In the past there were already some experiments by the entertainment giant (pop-up stores, Stranger Things prequel show in London, Squid Game: The trials in Los Angeles), but now it seems that it's ready to make the leap. 🔎 Part shop, part restaurant, part immersive entertainment, this might be the cocktail of services that these retail destinations are expected to provide. 📍 Takeout: online players (no matter of which market sector) are looking to make the leap to the offline realm.
