Here's hoping less is more! In advance of the spring break rush, we're trialing a bypassed signal at JFK T5 to improve traffic flows. We're grateful for our T6 project and Port Authority partners' willingness to trial something unconventional to make the customer experience as positive as possible in this sea of construction activity. Traffic improvements aside, pro tip - the AirTrain is once again running with strong headways and is your best bet for a reliable journey to JFK. If you're taking a car at peak times (and reminder - those peak times start much earlier in the morning than you think!), consider dropping off or picking up at Federal Circle or the Lefferts Blvd. Kiss & Fly and taking a free journey on the AirTrain to your terminal. Roadways will be dramatically improved once all of the terminal projects at JFK are complete, but in the meantime, roadway capacity is down. Take the AirTrain and you'll probably be glad you did!
