Still record amounts of uninvested equity capital is out there-$1 trillion or more 2. Portfolio optimization moves by strategics will continue to drive corporate divestiture activity 3. The huge Capital Inflows JP Morgan and other Asset Managers have recorded over the last year combined with above average interest rates will lead to extraordinary returns for the firms. Exciting news in the financial world as veteran banker Jon Gidney joins Stockbroker 202. With an impressive track record from NAB and ANZ, his move emphasises the importance financial expertise has on corporate strategy. This got me thinking - how often do we overlook the influence of finance experts in shaping our corporate agenda? J.P. Morgan was voted 'Best Hedge Provider' at the #SRPEurope 2024 #Awards. The demand for #QIS has remained solid over the last 10 years or so, especially in the US where #QIS activity in the retail market continues to be very strong for JPMorgan, according to Arnaud Jobert, the bank’s global head of equities structuring and co-head of global strategic indices. "Interestingly, we've seen appetite from retail investors moving away from long-only investment solutions," said Jobert in an interview with #SRP. "Obviously, the higher rates and low market volatility has also impacted the range of payout solutions offered with #QIS underlyings." Just in: Goldman Sachs launches new open-ended European credit strategy with more than $550m raised Today Goldman Sachs Asset Management launches the semi-liquid GSEC which was seeded in 4Q23. The strategy targets senior secured debt for defensive, anti-cyclical companies. It has already paid its first distribution to investors and committed to 23 portcos. Goldman’s Global head of direct lending James Reynolds continues to see private credit as a source of stable returns, and as one of the largest private credit platform globally, Goldman maintains a strong leading position in the space.
