Hats off to the true summer sales heroes!
Imagine this: You are a salesman at the hot beach, it’s 40 degrees in the shade and the sun is relentless. You carry a heavy backpack that is anything but ergonomic and your feet are in simple, damaged sandals that offer little protection. Most beachgoers already have their own towels and the market is saturated. Most potential consumers ignore you, treat you disrespectful and want to negotiate the price down. Many other vendors have comparable offers, though the earnings and sales are minimal. Additionally, you work without a contract, without social security and without the protection of any lobby. And as if that weren’t enough, the sales period is relatively short.
Despite all this, you don’t give up.
This post is a tribute to the tireless towel vendors and beach salesmen who don’t let the toughest conditions get them down. Every day, you demonstrate what it means to have perseverance, determination and resilience. You finally succeed because you relentlessly show your products.
