You know what’s cooler than spending your summer as a creative intern at VMLY&R?! Scoring an extension!! I’m so happy to have been given the opportunity to stay at VMLY&R on an extended internship, where I’ll now be working with the creative team for The Coca-Cola Company! (Do you think my obvious Diet Coke obsession gave it away?!) The party’s already started with some really fun stuff I got my hands on for Vitamin Water and Smart Water, not to mention a super lively team that makes everything we do playful and exciting! (Warning: Writer’s victory speech ahead!) But, what got me here was the incredibly smart, inspiring and brilliant team I spent the summer working with on Ford Motor Company. They believed in me, trusted me, and challenged me to create the greatest work I possibly can, and helped me discover where truly genius ideas come from. They’ve given me the opportunity to work on Ford Credit and Virgin Voyages where I got to witness so much more about what makes great work in this industry, from absolutely incredible creatives. I will never be the same creative I was before working with this dynamic team, and I will always be grateful for the experience they gave me and the work we created together. VMLY&R has taught me everything I can possibly learn in one summer about having a career in this industry. But there’s one thing I’ve taken that is the most valuable of all. It’s that the biggest part of making it in this career, is always bringing one thing to the table that nobody else has - myself. As long as I bring myself into my work, I will always present something unique. This experience has taught me not to change who I am for anyone or any brand - but to purposely bring who I am to everyone and every brand. Because that’s exactly what makes me special, what brings out my best, most powerful work, and that is what I will never forget to do. So, VMLY&R - thank you for choosing me. In March of this year, I was able to accomplish a big goal of mine: to attend SXSW. I learned a lot from the panels I participated and from the people I met. The overall experience was incredible, and I can’t wait to attend next year’s. One of the topics that stood out to me was “Future Now” and “Super Apps”. The basic premise of these panels was that our future is leading towards a more simplified and technologic society. AI is definitely going to be part of our day-to-day and supper apps – where you will be able to perform several activities under a single application – will pop up in our screens not too long from now. In the beginning of internship experience at NBCUniversal, I was paired with four other interns to develop an innovative summer project related to Peacock Ad Sales. The topic is yet to come to this LinkedIn profile, but what I can say is that when digging into the data to create our deck, I was surprised by once again encounter the same topics I listened about at SXSW. Research conducted by Statisca on the use of digital medias throughout our society has shown that although digital videos and digital games have the highest number of users in the last four years, digital music has presented the biggest growth throughout the same period. Having this in mind and the fact that Netflix has been largely investing in adding video games to its streaming platform, I can’t stop but to wonder if the next step for our society is to have a streaming subscription where you will find all sorts of digital medias under one same application (e.g.: Netflix will display visual content, as well as video games and music). I guess it's never too late to share! I want to take some time to reflect on my incredible internship journey at Digitas North America in their Atlanta office. It still feels like yesterday when I got the chance to be in a place that kind of felt like home when I was leaving it. Under the brilliant guidance of my hiring manager, Courtney Tambasco, Jana Zdancewicz, and brilliant boss, Christian Rogers, I had the opportunity to dive deep into the world of media-fueled creativity. Their mentorship not only sharpened my skills but also illuminated the path of creativity and precision that I aspire to follow. My time at Digitas was more than just an internship; it was a voyage of discovery, ideation, and real-world application of everything I learned in my past and at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. From adopting a media-first thinking approach to working on campaigns for illustrious clients like Walmart and Crocs, I was granted a vast canvas to bring my ideas to life. Although moving to Atlanta presented its challenges initially, it eventually became a nurturing ground for my ambitions. Professional Milestone Update! 🚀 As I wrapped up my enriching internship at TuneIn I this month, I'm brimming with excitement as I reflect on the incredible journey I've embarked upon. 🔥 From immersing myself into the intricate inner workings of the AdOps team to meticulously advancing through each phase of the automation project, I can't help but celebrate this continuous learning adventure that I've come to be immensely proud of. Here are some of the key insights I've gained and the skills I've honed: 💡 1. Deepened Industry Insights: The internship has been a transformative journey, significantly deepening my understanding of the nuances within the Ad tech industry. My maiden post on LinkedIn and it had to be my reflection on an enriching chapter as a Brand strategist  and Business Analyst Intern at Beats by Dre which had me buzzing with excitement. I dug  into customer exploration to take apart the resurgence of over-ear earphones among the dynamic Gen Z. Every disclosure turned into a breadcrumb prompting the entrancing 'why' behind this attractive pattern. I meticulously studied the genesis of this resurgence amongst the Gen Z which revealed layers causing this timeless trend. The key factors influencing this rise whet  appetite for over-ear headphones  in the audio industry. Spearheaded an agile team of 3 to conceptualize a robust brand marketing campaign for a new product- Beats Studio Pro.  The very essence of the product to reach everyone beyond the traditional athlete- centric market.  My heartfelt appreciation extends to Michael Guerrero Michael Guerrero an outstanding program manager, and the unwavering support from the TA Erik Schalk Erik Schalk Special gratitude to Camille Barbier Camille Barbier Consumer Insight Lead at Beats and Buku Ibraheem for sharing their experiences as creatives at Beats By Dre.
