🥕🥕 Be a positive Carrot... 🥕🥕 How can a little trinket make such an impact to a person? By the power of recognition that's how. Being gifted this a while back by one of Paragon Skills very own Ops Directors Janet Owens is still a highlight of my professional career. Having senior colleagues go out of their way to recognise positivity across their direct reports and wider colleagues is such an inspirational way to engage and motivate people to continue to go above and beyond. Especially during periods of significant growth. Since getting my positive carrot it sits nicely on my desk and I often reflect on my day and what has happened that I can feel positive about, or how I have been a positive carrot. Todays thoughts from a positive carrot… 🥕 I am so proud when I think of the development of Adam Blake and how he is successfully delivering results, creating engaging social media content and stepping out of his comfort zone to deliver a company wide job role session! Playing a small part in his success makes me feel positive daily. 🥕 Chloe Gilgrist is proving to be a sensational appointment, already getting stuck into the role and supporting with some significant growth for our Development Coaches, the impact you’re having after only 6 weeks is incredible. I am positive you’ll continue to do great things! 🥕I am positive and engergised about the roles we work on, as working across both Paragon Skills and Tempdent keeps everything exciting and fresh. Each day comes with new opportunities and the chance to speak to so many great candidates. 🥕 Finally, after speaking with our newly joined colleagues, it has been heart warming to hear how much they are enjoying their experience so far, and how myself and the team have made that a possibility for them by bringing them onboard this journey. How sports teams can share stories about where they're from in a way that really connects with people? Take SSC Bari S.p.A. and Kappa, for example. They've done a new campaign to introduce the Third Special Edition Collection and that shows off their city. You can almost feel like you're there, whether it's by the sea or seeing a Fiat drive by. It's not only about capturing the club but also about the city. That feeling you get from these stories is what makes you care about a team. Whether you're from a big city or a smaller town, showing off what makes your city or town special is key. Most sports teams only talk about training and games. But being a fan is about more than that, right? What else makes you feel like you belong to a team and a place? By sharing these stories, you're giving your fans something to connect to. It could be a sense of pride in where they're from, or maybe even make them feel like they're part of something new where they want to go. Good job Kappa!

9 months as an AE at Deel 😱 the time has absolutely flown; I don’t think I’ve ever learnt so much in such a short space of time. Some of my key takeaways: ⚡️You’re going to make mistakes in a new role. Probably quite a lot. The good news is, once you do, you learn from them and don’t make the same mistake twice. 👊🏽 ⚡️Feedback is everything. Ask for feedback whenever you can. Take every bit onboard, soak it up like a sponge and action it. ⚡️A bit of healthy competition is great but… comparison really is the thief of joy. Be your own competition, stay in your lane and focus on being better than YOU were last month. ⚡️Don’t be scared to take time off - I know so many people fear this especially starting a new job / role. Sometimes we just need some R&R and you always come back feeling ready to go 💪🏽 (picture of me in Dubai last week doing exactly this!!) Now for the most important one… ✨✨ remember to celebrate your small wins, remind yourself of how much you’ve learnt / how far you’ve come since day 1. It’s important to be your own cheerleader sometimes and remind yourself you’ve got this & you can do it ❤️

One thing i absolutely hate about the modified car industry is pure greed and disloyalty from suppliers. In an industry where margins are tight and the market is extremely competitive, it would make sense for suppliers of parts to treat everyone equally - however, a select few (and there is one HUGE culpret) retail the brands that they supply us, aswell as others they dont supply, devalue the product by advertising them at ultra low margins a smaller business with overheads cannot compete with and steal the sales. In the next breath these same suppliers ask why we dont sell more of the products they supply. The answer - if you arent going to play fair with me, im not going to give you a single penny of our money or a second of my time more than i need to. You are destroying and devaluing the market for you own greed. Im confident the main company this is in reference to will read this - and my message is sinple - stop undercutting your main customer base with your side hustle - a high tide raises all boats, stop sinking the market or you will have less customers, either because they have gone out of business or because they have decided to just buy products elsewhere rather than to feed tyour greed machine.
