Call To Action: The SAVE plan has been stayed (suspended rending further judicial review) by the Circuit Courts of Appeal in the 8th and 10th Circuits. If the 2 cases are combined, the Supreme Court WILL NOT be required to hear an appeal, meaning that the Appellate Court ruling(s) against SAVE will stand. So if you live outside of the 8th and 10th circuits, please ask your Attorney General to take action on behalf of the borrowers in your state who are in the SAVE plan and will suffer harm if the plan is struck down. 8th Circuit: Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota 10th Circuit: Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Wyoming

Article | Unlike other courts, the family court has been a private space for money as well as children’s cases. There has been a pilot scheme running in relation to children’s cases for the past year to allow reporters into the family court. This scheme is being extended to a further 16 courts and a pilot scheme in respect of money cases is also scheduled. Partner Phillipa Dolan from our Family team provides her views on whether this is truly in the name of transparency or simply media titillation: https://ow.ly/g9gP50QunBM #familylaw #TransparencyPilotScheme #pressintrusion #divorcelawyer #childprotection
Is allowing the press into the family court really in the name of transparency, or just titillation?
