These lobbying efforts intentionally slowed adoption of renewable energy and electric vehicles for decades, worsening carbon emissions and climate impacts. Hi Jan Rosenow - Thanks for writing about the challenges #Greenhydrogen is facing in the European Union despite all the great support. What will happen to all the large Electrolyzer investments? Many countries are still following the same trend & decided to invest heavily into the production of these #Electrolyzers without understanding the consequences!    From the beginning, I have been trying to warn investors, governments, and developers to be very careful when planning to invest significant wealth into a seemingly simple trade with trillions of dollars in upcoming opportunities, such as #Greenhydrogen (GH2), #Greenammonia (GNH3), and #Greenmethanol (GCH3OH) projects. No doubt, these projects can help investors/developers create more than 100 billion US dollars in wealth within a very short span of time, i.e., within 12 to 15 years, provided, the implementer must understand the right rules of the project in a similar fashion as how we implement with strict steps to ensure safety, i.e., Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) in any high-risk projects. We can notice that most companies from the #PV and #Wind sectors are attracted to investing large amounts of funding to gain substantial profitability in a shorter span of time. Unfortunately, most of them have failed, but a few are still trying their level best to implement projects, perhaps the falling prices of #PV, Wind, and #BESS may be boosting their confidence to invest. The latest off-take signed of #GNH3 is €1,000 per Metric Ton (C.I.F - Port of Rotterdam), which is about US$1,090 per Metric Ton. The F.O.B cost at the production site at El Sukhna Port export terminal is €811 per Metric Ton, i.e., US$885 per Metric Ton. The biggest question now is: do we see these prices as sustainable enough to implement such capital-intensive projects to achieve the #decarbonization initiative across the globe? Although these projects are highly feasible to reach sustainable production costs, i.e., #GH2 below US$2/kg and #GNH3 below $400 per Metric Ton provided we must follow the strict guidelines proposed by experts.
