🌟 Adobe, known for its innovative software, unveiled a mesmerizing surprise at the 2023 Adobe MAX conference - Project Primrose, an interactive dress with 'Reflective Light-Diffuser Modules.' This dress is a real-time fashion chameleon, changing from matte white to a reflective spectacle with evolving patterns. While it's currently a proof of concept, the potential is vast. The magic behind Primrose lies in its use of 'Non-Emissive Flexible Display Systems.' It doesn't merely offer fashion versatility but is a testament to Adobe's commitment to pushing creative boundaries. The dress's material is created using reflective-backed polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC), known for its energy efficiency and non-emissive properties. There’s always something new going on at Adobe, and it’s great to be given a sneak preview at the exciting additions ahead. During this year’s Adobe MAX Conference, a selection of sneak peaks were released, previewing new additions to the already jam-packed Adobe Suite. With developments for every section of the digital industry, it was the Glyph Ease feature that really caught my eye. Any designer knows creating a bespoke font from scratch isn’t the quickest process, especially when each character is unique. Glyph Ease utilises Adobe’s Generative AI feature to create custom vector letters, meaning designers just need to design 3 custom letters for reference, and Glyph Ease will intuitively generate the remaining ones in Adobe Illustrator. It’s developments like these that will encourage more and more designers to experiment with unique letters and fonts, and I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for the release date! #design #adobe #ai #digitalagency #gloversure

“I have nothing to wear!” – a statement everyone has said at some point. Enter #ProjectPrimrose by Adobe! Last week, during its conference #AdobeMax 2023, the company presented its new digital dress able to change design patterns with a press of a button and react to our body’s movements. The dress is made of fabric woven with reflective light-diffuser modules for non-emissive flexible display systems. The advances in smart materials allow displays to move beyond planar surfaces into everyday fabrics. Adobe leverages reflective-backed polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC), an electroactive material commonly used in smart window applications. The material is non-emissive and low-power; it can be cut into any shape and can be used in a range of areas such as fabrics, clothing, furniture, and leather. Interested? In mid-October FIA, Inc. sent me to the 2023 #AdobeMax conference in #LosAngeles, and the experience was nothing short of inspiring and educational! 🌟    I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in a world of #creativity, #innovation, and possibility. Here are some highlights from this event that left me truly inspired:    🎨 Unleashing Creativity: Adobe Max provided a platform for me to explore new dimensions. From #design and photography to video and 3D, Adobe continues to equip users with endless tools and techniques to master all with the mission of enhancing creative work. #CreativeCloud #DigitalArt    🚀 Cutting-Edge Technology: The technology showcased at Adobe Max was nothing short of mind-blowing. I was amazed at how Adobe continues to push the boundaries of what's possible in the digital realm.    🧠 Educational Insights: Learning from designer Aaron James Draplin and CEO/founder of The Futur™ creative education platform, Chris Do was a major highlight for me! I was also incredibly moved by Orlando Arocena's ability to illustrate such impactful compositions so fast! And who doesn’t appreciate time with Adobe’s Terry White? As someone who has been tuning into Terry’s channel for a very long time, seeing him speak in person was unbelievable. I also want to give a huge shout out to record producer Oak Felder and award-winning Adobe designer Claudia "Kladi" Vergine for their insightful presentations.    💡 Inspiring Connections: Even though I was flying solo at my first ever Adobe Max conference, I still met lots of like-minded professionals and enjoyed being a part of a community that values creativity and innovation. Creative director Karen X. Cheng was such a breath of fresh air during her discussion when she addressed her addiction to approval through social media. Wow, I was not expecting that level of vulnerability, and I want to thank her for sharing her 5 suggestions to stay grounded to what matters to me. I can’t wait to incorporate these practices into my own life.    🌎 Global Sustainability Initiatives: Adobe’s onsite #sustainability initiatives included providing attendees with refillable water bottles and compostable utensils throughout the conference. The water bottles were so cool that quite a few people asked me where I got mine from, so I am not sure all attendees got one and I wish I had seen more people using them. Hopefully next year, they will continue to strengthen the refillable water bottle initiative by making sure everyone gets one and encourage composting by providing more bins.    🌈 Diverse Perspectives: The event emphasized #diversity, inclusion, and the celebration of many different voices. I was happy to see the creative #community coming together to promote these important values.    Adobe, thank you for an unforgettable experience. It’s rewarding to share my excitement and new knowledge with my FIA colleagues, and I’m definitely looking forward to the creative journey ahead!

Has anyone used the new 3D programs in Adobe? How do you feel about all the seperate applications for each of the items? I like the surface pattern design, however, there are so many steps in creating a simple pattern to go on 1 item, if I were only an environmental designer then I can see the extra steps. I wish Adobe would think about the design process a bit more when offering new items. Also, I would like for the programs to work together effeciently.
