SQL doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming. With just a handful of basic commands, you can accomplish 80% of your day-to-day data tasks. Think about it - when was the last time you truly needed to flex your SQL muscles just to get a job done? For most projects, the essentials are all you need. So if you're feeling overloaded trying to master every function, take a breath. Focus on truly understanding JOIN, SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, and a few other fundamental commands. You'll be surprised how far that takes you. The truth is, advanced SQL skills are useful but not mandatory. I spent years stuck in tutorial purgatory trying to become an expert. But once I embraced the 80/20 rule - learning 20% of SQL to solve 80% of problems - I became far more productive and confident. For those interested in accelerating their learning, I've compiled some free resources that helped me immensely. They provide a structured approach to level up your SQL skills in a fun, digestible way: 🎠🚂 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: 🔸 freecodecamp.org: https://lnkd.in/duCfNtTW 🔸 Programming with Mosh: https://lnkd.in/dFT8UQ4x 🔸 techTFQ: https://lnkd.in/d_aSwXpJ 🔸 Alex the Analyst: https://lnkd.in/dCXcY82Z 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: 🔸 SQLBolt: http://sqlbolt.com 🔸 SQLZoo: https://lnkd.in/dCa9Vwgv 🔸 SQLTest: http://sqltest.net 🔸 W3Schools.com: http://w3schools.com/sql/ 🔸 Codecademy: https://lnkd.in/d2J3956R 𝗧𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: 🔸 LeetCode: https://leetcode.com 🔸 HackerRank: https://www.hackerrank.com 🔸 DataLemur: https://datalemur.com 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗤𝗟: 🔸 SQLZOO: https://sqlzoo.net/ 🔸 SQLBOLT: https://sqlbolt.com/ 🔸 SQL Murder Mystery: https://lnkd.in/dbw9JUY5 I hope these resources help you learn and master SQL in a fun and engaging way. The key is consistency over complexity. Master the basics, then layer on more advanced capabilities. Avoid information overload. And never lose sight of on-the-job needs. What other tips do you have for making progress with SQL? What free resources have you found valuable? I'd love to hear your experiences in the comments! 🙌 Stay connected!

Good work! But instead of create in DDL, it is mentioned as view.

Another mistake in this picture: there should be "CREATE" instead of "view" in the box under DDL, right next to "DROP", "TRUNCATE" and "ALTER" -- this way it would make sense! :-D

I don't think this statement is true for data analysts/analytics engineers. Sure, you will figure it somehow with understanding of the basics. But at this cost: * slow, costly qweries * unmaintainable/untestable/unreadable code In software engineering, you can build almost everything with stuff you can learn in 2 hours: variables, conditions, loops and functions. It doesn't mean you're a software engineer once you have mastered it 😁
