8 benefits of a UX strategy. 👇 1. Differentiates a company’s products and services from competitors. 2. Prioritises key customer segments (personas/user groups), and how to address their needs, wants, and interactive behaviours. 3. Provides a prioritised roadmap that shows how future releases progressively achieve high-level goals. 4. Avoids tending towards just tactical UX - doing what seems best right now. 5. Aligns internal teams with a single coherent vision. 6. Gives accountability - aligning with business objectives, i.e. the product has to work and sell, not just look good. 7. Avoid clashes of opinion, the HIPPO effect, design by committee etc. 8. Upfront planning for constraints and issues – reduces the chance of nasty surprises. I really enjoyed the Nielsen Norman Group's 100-year view of User Experience. The industry seems to be growing fast but the landscape of the skill is growing as much. ✨ "The main value driver in the future economy will be user experience. Not only will UX be a key differentiator between premium-priced products and commodities, but it will also be the only way to overcome the productivity languor that’s currently plaguing advanced countries." https://lnkd.in/e5bUr3Xh #userexperience #userexperiencedesign #humancomputerinteraction #customerexperience #marketingandadvertising #technology

Passionate User Experience Practitioner with Duo Master's in HCI & Design | Former Fintech Product Manager | Now looking for fixed-term and full-time roles in digital product research and development
What is UX? Personally I don‘t like technical terms especially shorten it for convenience within the smaller “professional circle”. User experience as I understand has been there long before this term has been invented. It can be simple as the photo I took today at B&M B&M Retail. Can openers hanging near the cans food shelf. If “conventional design” is about how to make the can food display look perfect and attractive to consumers. User experience design is about standing on behalf of a individual who want to shop can food. What are their needs? What they might think before and after choosing a product? It can be about shifting the focus. Instead of thinking from a “provider” point of view, thinking as “receiver”. What do “I” need? What may ”I” need? What have “I” forgotten?etc. The interesting thing is this simple act may likely be done by person without any UX related knowledge. It‘s simply just compassion of people❤️ People of course can argue it a matter of selling more kinda strategy. But I never think user experience is the opposite to marketing. On the contrary, good user experience should enhance marketing in a more decent and less intrusive way! #ux #uxresearch #uxdesigner #marekting #retailor
