Our society must achieve #netzero emissions by 2050 to avoid catastrophic climate change. What exactly this means for organizations in implementing their own net zero transitions is often less clear. With the BSI-led launch of the ISO Net Zero Guidelines at COP27 in 2022, the ISO - International Organization for Standardization provided a definition of net zero and the principles and recommendations to support organizations to achieve it. These Guidelines harmonize a fragmented and confusing landscape of net zero guidance to bring greater clarity to what good net zero action looks like. Today, BSI publishes a report featuring four case studies of organizations that have been using the ISO Net Zero Guidelines to develop their net zero strategies: General Motors, Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, Climate Action for Associations, Planet Mark. The experiences reflected in this report can offer valuable insights and lessons for organizations worldwide as they embark on their net zero journeys.
