Blue Earth Capital, through its climate strategy, led SWTCH’s recent Series B financing round to facilitate the provision of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions in multi-tenant buildings. Easy access to charging is critical for the electrification of the transportation sector which accounts for around one third of total emissions in the United States. Great to see... As an EV driver and owner, this is great to see, so well done SSE. Drove past this the other day on my way back North. As an EV driver, I cannot help but notice the, sometimes, huge variation on charge costs, across the country, at public charge points. The lowest I have seen is 31p/Kwh, the highest, 89p/Kwh. Goverments advocate the use of EV,s for obvious reasons. At the higher band rate, it is more or less equivalent to putting petrol in your car. If government want more EV,s on the road, this is not incentivising is it?
