We have now expanded our mission to help first responders nationwide. Our emergency funding program allows veterans and first responders to apply when faced with watershed moments in their lives, including the sudden loss of a loved one. This program provides a huge relief during trying times. To date, we have helped more than 1,000 veterans and their family members receive emergency funding. With your support, we have every intention to help first responders and their families in the years ahead. #GivingBack #SupportingFirstResponders #BuildingHomesforHeroes

Honoring Sergeant Hechavarria with a Forever Home 🇺🇸 Last week, Sergeant Hechavarria, who served our country with bravery from 2017 to 2021, received a beautiful forever home in Marshall, Texas. During his service, he faced incredible challenges, leaving him with physical and psychological injuries, including PTSD. Despite these hardships, Sergeant Hechavarria earned numerous commendations, showcasing his dedication. This home is more than just walls and a roof – it symbolizes our deepest gratitude and a fresh start for Sergeant Hechavarria and his family. We wouldn't have been able to make this dream a reality without the incredible support of our partners, Chase and Lowe's Companies, Inc. We're also incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special occasion. Together, we can continue to support our heroes. Let's help other veterans like Sergeant Hechavarria find the security and peace they deserve. #Chase #Lowes #BuildingHomesforHeroes #VeteranSupport #GoodNews

Today, on #PTSDAwarenessDay, we honor our veterans who carry the weight of unseen wounds. The battlefield might be silent, but the echoes of trauma can linger. For many veterans, the fight continues at home. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a war fought within, a battle against nightmares, flashbacks, and overwhelming anxiety. But they are not alone. There is hope. Effective treatments are available, offering a path to healing. Many resources are available to those suffering from #PTSD. Learn more about the signs and symptoms of PTSD here: https://lnkd.in/gi7nHeK. During #PTSDAwarenessMonth and throughout the entire year, let’s help raise awareness about the many different PTSD treatment options. Remember: not all wounds are visible. Let’s show our veterans the care and compassion they deserve.

US Army Sergeant William Watson and his family were overwhelmed with gratitude as they read the blessings written on the frame of their new Built to Honor home in San Antonio, Texas. Residents, vendors, and project partners had all taken the time to write words of love and support for the family. The Watsons are one of many veteran families who the Built to Honor & Building Homes for Heroes, Inc. partnership has helped. The welcome-home ceremony for the Watsons is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see them move into their new home. Thank you to Built to Honor and PulteGroup for your incredible support of our nation’s heroes. 📸 Perla Hernandez #PulteGroup #BuilttoHonor #PulteHomes #BuildingHomesforHeroes #VeteranSupport

Today marks my Alive Day, a day that changed my life forever. It’s the day I survived my helicopter crash during my second tour in Afghanistan. While the journey has been filled with immense hardships since then, it has also been one of incredible growth and purpose. I am honored to be here today, surrounded by the incredible support of so many. Your encouragement has fueled my drive to make a difference in this world. Through every challenge, I’ve discovered that we all have the power to overcome, heal, and thrive. My journey has shown me we can find light and purpose even in the darkest times. I’ve dedicated myself to touching the lives of those who may be struggling and showing them that they, too, can achieve anything they set their hearts on. Through my foundation and the Climbing for a Cause initiative, I hope to create opportunities for healing, growth, and inspiration. Today is challenging but also incredibly special. It’s a reminder that we can find strength and the ability to uplift others through adversity. My mission is to change lives, to inspire hope, and to help those in need realize their potential. Working hard to try and make this world a better place by touching lives means everything to me. Thank you all for being a part of my journey, for your constant support, and for believing in the power of resilience and community. Together, we can achieve extraordinary things. 🤍
