Hello and Goodbye Last week in Defence Commercial, save a few handover events, and onwards and upwards on promotion to another Culture role in MOD 🤩 Yes my little dalliance with Industry made me realise I am still passionate about being a Defence Civil Servant!!! Thanks to all in Commercial especially Kate Seal Zoe Latimer RACHEL PEARSON and Nick Wilkinson who worked with me and supported my ideas and activity, it was a fantastic learning environment and definitely what helped me be successful in the interview for this next role. Abbey Wood Families Day today and always amazing and the range of work going on across what is mainly a DE&S site. Great to meet up and chat with Jacks Connor-Fox MBE after many LinkedIn conversations. Great to see so many working parents with little ones. 👏👏 To all my Forces Spouse contacts on here, who may be having to ‘mark time’ at a lower grade, either to juggle child care or to help with getting a job as you move around. Keep developing yourself with your goal in mind. Just because your job may not get you the strategic view doesn't stop you from seeking it for yourself. Invest in yourself (so much can be done without funding), go to the events, volunteer to be the Board secretary, ask to shadow people, and stay curious. Your time will come. Four promotion moves in five years is the proof. (Not saying hubby's job held me back, but, you know 😉) #StayAwesome #BrilliantCivilService
