To add to your points, I see SAP's product strategy of best-of-breed and best-of-suite providing two huge benefits to our customers: First, with our best-of-breed focus, SAP delivers Line of Business (LoB) specific innovations much faster to our customers. For example, embedded GenAI use cases are used in the HR and finance business processes. Second, with our best-of-suite focus, SAP ensures that all of our best-of-breed business applications (ERP, HR, Procurement, CX) are anchored on a single, integrated platform of #sapbtp so they are all interoperable across the enterprise. For example, the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution is #composable and integrates the front office to the back office, creating the notion of One Office. Can SAP really fire 8000 employees for not using AI? TL;DR: Yes, they can. SAP has just announced company-wide transformation program. It includes restructuring in 2024 with focus on Business AI. This is to ensure skill-set and resources to meet future needs. The best part? SAP is offering 8000 affected positions a choice: 1. Internal re-skilling program 2. Voluntary leave In another words: "Learn AI or find another job". Kudos to SAP for this approach. Instead of saying: "We're reducing our staff due to AI productivity" (like many corporations currently do) They're saying: "We will invest in AI productivity to drive strategic growth". 👏 SAP expects to exit 2024 at a headcount similar to current levels. Restructuring expenses projected at around €2 billion. I really hope SAP hold to their word and acts like a role model.
