What is the biggest gap in paid media?

Most advertisers don’t know about this hidden bulk create feature in canva. If you’re running static image ads at scale and want to quickly iterate, this tool will save you a ton of time. Tiktok just announced their new AI tool called Tiktok Symphony and it is pretty incredible. The tool allows you to create an AI avatar and have it say any written script. There's a lot of tools out there like this already, but this is the first i've seen actually built into an ad platform. The tool is for advertisers only and every video will show a "AI Generated" watermark on the bottom to ensure compliance. There will also be an AI dubbing tool that will convert any of these videos into other languages. I've already been testing some AI avatars with other tools and have seen some encouraging results. Shock Hook video transitions are blowing up on organic feeds like instagram and TikTok but do they have a place on the paid side? Here’s the general idea. You start you video with one of these shock hooks. Shows something crazy happening that quickly transitions into your video. The purpose is to stop the scroll and “shock” the viewer. I’ve seen businesses like car dealerships and restaurants using these the most. I’ve heard of people having mixed results leveraging this on the ad side. Some see strong results while some see poor conversion rates. Have you tested this yet? Would you? Political spending is going up on Meta 👀 This is no surprise as we are in an election year and we just had the first debate (if that's what you want to call it 🤦♂️ ) In this video I breakdown how anyone can go to the facebook ads library and look at this data for themselves. For example: Biden has spent over $14 million on ads in the last 90 days. $8 million of that has been in the last 30 days alone. I use this data to get a general idea of how political spend may or may not be impacting my baseline CPMs. There's not much that can be done to change the reality of increased competition but if you are working at a company where you need to explain to executives why ad costs are going up, this can be helpful context. I'll be continuing to monitor political ad spend as we approach November. Don't be surprised when you see ad costs go up. 📈

Today marks 1 full year of no alcohol and I can say it has been the biggest unlock of my life. A year ago I was coming off a long weekend of hosting friends for 4th of July festivities and drinking pretty much the entire time. At the end of it I felt exhausted and extremely depressed… like to a scary level. I decided that day that I was done drinking, probably forever. I was done feeling stuck. My mind is clearer than it has ever been. My relationship with my wife is the best it has ever been. I’m getting the best sleep of my life. I experience significantly less anxiety and depression. I was able to quit my job and start my own business. I have the energy to take better care of myself and those around me. I get more done. Alcohol kept me stuck, left me feeling like a victim to my own life and numbed me from feeling the best parts. Thankfully I’m at the point now where I don’t even think about it. There’s so many NA options now, I don’t really even feel left out when I’m going to a brewery or bar with friends. We hosted our friends for the 4th again this year and I can honestly say I had more fun and felt significantly better than last year. Do I miss a good buzz on a nice summer day with friends? Absolutely. Is it worth giving up all of this? Absolutely not.

An obvious one but still something I see happen for the sake of “brand” 🙄 Don’t edit your ads once live.
