Yesterday, I had the honor of speaking at the Energy Progress and Innovation Conference (EPIC), where I shared my perspective on how the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) plays a vital role in the energy sector. I explained how the electricity market operates and what challenges it faces in a dynamic and complex environment. One of the key points I discussed was the Reliability Imperative’s System Attributes proposal, which aims to improve the market signals for dispatchable generation resources. This proposal is crucial for ensuring the reliability and resilience of the grid, especially in times of uncertainty and change.
