Episode 24: The Appprentice And The Bee Situational Awareness and Output! Are solitary bees efficient pollinators? Absolutely! For example, commercial apple growers benefit from the free pollination services of the Red Mason bee. This species can be 120 times more efficient at pollinating apple blossoms than honeybees. In our Apprentices’ development, understanding efficiency and output is critical. This incredible film clip shows a Red Mason bee cleaning out her nest, even though collected pollen clings to her body. Why? These bees are constantly vigilant about potential predation of their nests. In this case, she might have noticed something unusual in her cell that could threaten her offspring, prompting a thorough clean-out, to start again. Similarly, our Apprentices learn the importance of situational awareness and high standards in their work. If something doesn’t feel or look right, it probably isn’t … therefore time to start again! This is one of my favorite plants: skunk cabbage (if you aren’t familiar with it, yes, it’s as smelly as it sounds). I love spotting the vivid purple and green shoots that pop through the ground around swamps and creek beds (read “crick beds”) each year. To me, it is the harbinger of spring and new life, ending the death of winter. It’s an interesting plant. It creates its own heat, allowing it to grow through the frozen ground. It also mainly grows downward. As the plant gets older, the roots grow deeper and deeper and wider, pulling the plant down with it making it almost impossible to dig out. As a non-traditional student, I feel that I am skunk cabbage. My roots have had many years of growth and spread. My experiences and awareness of my potential and ability to learn were always fueling that underground movement. However, the problem was that nobody could see my roots. I could list the sum of my skills and list my job history, but I didn’t have the ability to communicate that I had much more potential and value than my retail days could attest. I wanted to do more with my life, but I didn’t feel that I could get a fair shot because -on paper- I wasn’t qualified for the positions I hoped for. The roots were there though, so I had to do something to make sure others could see the evidence of those roots. Returning to school was the heat I needed to break through the frozen ground and the completion of my degree will be the visible evidence that I am worth giving a chance; each of my achievements represented by a leaf. I know my path is just starting, but I also know that I have an advantage because just like skunk cabbage my deep, long roots will keep me from being dug up. Maybe I could pick something less ugly sounding to use as an analogy. I’m not going to, though. I am proud to be like plain old, amazing, interesting, life-heralding skunk cabbage. #nontraditionalstudent #adultstudent #firstgenerationcollegestudent #nontraditional

Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business we can't forget Pasco. Tri-Cities has a Huge history which also makes Washington State University & WSU Tri-Cities great schools. Cheering for Columbia Basin College, I know they have a great Computer Science Program (I know we are always looking for Recognition with Job classifications. Ag is a Little bit different, but We always need Ag Science 🧪 in Labs - @lambweston @conagra @darigold - more science can be done in these Labs - means they should also have more jobs - could mean a trip to WSU & WSU Tri-Cities could be important- WSU Tri-Cities does Bio-Fuels with PNNL. Ag can have a Huge overlap to a Lot of Stuff.)and have had a great board. Congrats. It all involves money or funding, hope it all works out.

(3/3)REFLECTION about I have learned from this activity i) Services in PeTARY ii) Search the books and e-journal by using PeTARY websites After completed the first activity which is the services in PeTARY, I got to know the function of all the services and facilities that is available in PeTARY.This show that PeTARY has a strong commitment to creating an environment that is conducive to study and research is demonstrated by the wide range of services offered, including computer laboratories, a 24-hour learning facility, and locker service. These services encourage a culture of innovative and collaborative learning in addition to offering students convenience and flexibility. Then, I was able to search books and e-journal by using PeTARY websites.Students can concentrate more on their studies and research since using the internet to search and locate books saves time and effort. It also helps us as student to schedule our library visits more efficiently because we can plan ahead and make sure the books we need are available.Other than that,students also able to seek more information regarding their studies by search for e-journal in just a few clicks.Additionally, the online search function is a testament to the library's dedication to using technology to enhance its offerings. It's evidence of how PeTARY is embracing the digital era and enabling more efficient learning for students by increasing information accessibility.  Overall, this activity is a good experience and exposure for us students to get know more about PeTARY. With this knowledge,I hope we can practise it anytime as we already know the usage of PeTARY websites.
