Hi. I'm Liana Toledo, and I'm a regional emergency communications coordinator with Cal OES Tactical Communications. in my role, I assist our mutual aid partners in counties with communications need in responding to and preparing for emergencies, disasters, and even high profile planned events. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is I know it directly affects the citizens of California. And as somebody obviously, who has family in the state and myself, I know that I have confidence that the work that we're doing will make sure that when everybody from our first responders to the citizens of individual cities have what they need to communicate to be able to call 911 reliably and to be able to get the help they need when they need it in those beginning critical times, disasters, emergencies One of the large events that we have been supporting, we as Tactical Communications has been supporting for over ten years now is a big sur international marathon for anybody that's been there. It's not hard to believe like how how nice of an assignment that is the other side of that is that it's a very nice location, very rugged location, beautiful California coastline. If you've never been here, it's probably exactly what it is, exactly what you're thinking. It looks like is what it looks like. The challenge there is that communications are very tough. each year we have to reevaluate the location and figure out what communications to bring and how we're going to supplement and even augment with new technology the needs along the racecourse related communications.
