I am excited to share the publication of our latest research paper in 2024. "Deep learning guided prediction modeling of dengue virus evolving serotype" in #Heliyon. This innovative work marks a significant milestone in our endeavor to blend cutting-edge AI technologies with genomic research. Our DL-DVE generative and classification model, leveraging 2000 publicly available DENV complete genome sequences, demonstrates proficiency in learning intricate patterns and generating sequences for emerging serotypes. The accuracy of the generative model at 93% and the classification model's reliability, with evaluation metrics like ROC-AUC value 0.818, accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score around 99.00%, underline the robustness of our approach. Excitingly, our model classified the generated sequences as DENV-4, showing notable distinction from other serotypes with a minimum of 90% sequence similarity within the serotype, highlighting their uniqueness. This advancement showcases the potential of deep learning in forecasting emerging DENV serotypes, a critical aspect in addressing global public health concerns.
