Split between the UK 🇬🇧 & US 🇺🇸 at TMC in Houston, TX as part of MedTech innovation accelerator. Keen to learn from experts in radiology, teleradiology, pathology, ER, & imaging diagnostics.
If like me you look for a cause to support at this time of year and get your friends family kids etc involved so they understand the counter to the season of abundance then please give this a read… The #Big Give Christmas Challenge is on and we need your help! We have raised a whopping £3,400 just in the last 3 days. The Big Give Christmas Challenge will remain open until 12pm on Tuesday, 5th December and we need your help. All donations are DOUBLED until we reach our target. Donate today to become a global health champions, contributing to the improvement of diagnostic imaging access in Ghana. Donate now Why is this important? In Ghana, the lack of diagnostic imaging services impacts many children requiring prompt and precise diagnosis and treatment. The funds gathered through this campaign will be used to train 8 healthcare professionals in the use of Point of Care ultrasound (POCUS) techniques. Such training is crucial in enhancing paediatric healthcare and represents a move towards addressing the significant challenge that in countries with low and medium income, 80% of the population faces limited or no access to critical diagnostic examinations. Please support Worldwide Radiology Please give and share ✌️ ❤️ Find the link in the comments #radiology #pathology #teleradiology

It is exactly 1 week until November, which is Epilepsy Awareness Month! During the month of November, my dog Sully and I are making it our mission to raise awareness about canine epilepsy and take steps towards advancing research in the field of canine epilepsy. Our goal is to walk 20 miles within the month of November to raise awareness of Canine Epilepsy and raise funding to improve research capacities. Please check out our page and consider donating to the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation’s Epilepsy Research Foundation. Let’s make steps together in improving methods for preventing and treating canine epilepsy. More and more, we are finding that difficult to diagnose or treat medical/mental health issues tie back to outsized or misdirected immune responses. Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, PANS, PANDAS, post-Lyme, long Covid... (the list goes on). Whether caused by viruses, or exposed by responses to them, these illnesses have in common many symptoms that are first chased and attempted to be countered by mainstream means for treating those symptoms. But their cause in these cases is different, needing a collective comprehension across the range of these systemic disorders. This video helps to introduce one of them (a hard story to tell, harder to live through, and even harder to suffer when we lose victims to these conditions or to the frustrations in trying to find answers). #PANS #PANDAS #OCD #depression #anxiety #eatingdisorders #autoimmune #mentalhealth #neuroimmune #suicide #seizetheawkward #AFSP #POTS #NAMI
My mom, Diana Pohlman, founded PANDAS Network in 2009 after my brother exhibited a sudden onset of life-altering symptoms that are now known as PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections). Medical professionals could not provide my family with any answers, so my mom fought to find an explanation for my brother’s sudden and devastating change. With treatment, my brother healed, but access to care continues to be difficult for most children. Since its creation, this non-profit has worked diligently to strengthen patient advocacy and raise money for research. Despite the large impact PANDAS Network has had thus far, the NIH is funding VERY little PANDAS research. Without proper funding, children will continue to go undiagnosed, and consequentially, will not receive the care that they need to lead healthy lives. This is why I am calling on YOU to help support PANDAS Network by donating to my GoFundMe (linked below). Your donations help to spread awareness, advocate for affected families, and find a cure for this disease. You can also help by sharing this video using the hashtag #PANDAScure. https://lnkd.in/dreTSeDt

Did you know our team has integrated the 7C's of Resilience, produced by the American Academy of Pediatrics into our framework? Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character, Contribution, Coping, and Control are critical elements that shape our approach. We strive to create an environment which fosters growth, empowerment, and authentic life skills so youth in our programs may successfully build the resilience they need to thrive. Resilience is the capacity to rise above difficult circumstances, and our goal is to empower youth to navigate the world with optimism and confidence. Read our full blog post to learn how we are helping our youth develop positive coping strategies. https://lnkd.in/gsMkyw8B #EmberHopeYouthville #FosterCare #NonProfit #InspirePositiveChange #Donate #GiveAGift #ChangeALifeWithGiving #RespiteCare #FosterParents #BeTheOne2Foster #FosterCareKansas

If you’ve been wondering about becoming an Aevitas Sperm Donor, then take a look at some of our most frequently asked questions. #5: How do recipient families choose a donor. Although sperm donation is anonymous, recipient families are able to browse our donors’ profiles which gives important information such as health and anonymous family medical history, education and some information on hobbies and interests. Recipient families are able to see toddler photographs of the donor to help them to make a physical match decision. #AnonymousDonation #GenerousCompensation https://lnkd.in/gVxFiP9A

Any donations welcome please! 🥰 https://lnkd.in/e-Hr2usZ Throughout August I will be doing 10k steps every day to raise money for the Epilepsy Society. In 2020, I started having random tonic-clonic seizures. These resulted in me falling out of bed, confusion, biting my tongue/cheek, not recognising family/friends or where I was, not being able to speak/read at the time, etc. 😅 After an MRI, I was diagnosed with Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia (PVNH) which causes epilepsy for the majority of those that have it. PVNH is a rare brain malformation characterized by an abnormal clumping of grey matter (nerve cells) around the deep fluid chambers inside the brain called the ventricles. Luckily, after trying different medications, I currently am only having around one seizure a week (which is bad enough!) and so I'd like to raise money for the Epilepsy Society for the amazing work they do not only for people like myself but also those that have multiple seizures a day and are, sadly, a lot worse off. 💞 Being a new manager while I was trying to deal with being diagnosed with this has certainly been a challenge, but I love what I do 🥰 https://lnkd.in/e-Hr2usZ #epilepsy #socialcare #donations #epilepsysociety
