So, donating to charities help communities more than the government programs help their recipients. Most charities (I'm keeping a positive attitude) have a good purpose intended by the charity's founders. Charities and churches have the responsibility to help their communities. Never did the U.S. Constitution suggest that the tax revenues should be spent on social issues and welfare programs. Rights are not inherent in social programs. Everyone has a right to be successful which is allowed by the 1st Amendment. No one has the right to tell you that you can not be as successful as you chose. If we supported the churches and charity organizations who truly help people with their needs our Country would truly be a wealthy country.
