Building Movement Project’s Director of Race Equity Assessment, Mercedes Brown, Esq., was featured on Independent Sector’s “The Retreat of Nonprofits’ Influence on Systems & Policy” webinar. On the webinar, nonprofit leaders discussed a new study that indicates a drop in #nonprofit support in shaping systems change and what leaders can do to take action. Here are a few key takeaways from the conversation 🗣🗣🗣 1️⃣ When organizations are bought into #RacialEquity and willing to take bold, progressive stances, both staff and the communities they serve benefit. 2️⃣ Organizational leaders must advocate for policy changes that advance racial equity and align with their mission. 3️⃣ BMP’s Building Blocks for Change assessment process helps nonprofits accelerate the dialogue and action necessary to secure buy-in across the organization. Anyone else thanking the Lord they're Welsh today?! 🏴 As a Welsh business person, as Vice Chair of Community Foundation Wales and most definitely as a grandparent, I'm excited by the ambition of #CymruCan, Future Generations Commissioner Derek Walker's strategy, today. It's all about real action to pick up the pace and drive long-term thinking into the heart of our nation, including The Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales creating tools to help organisations do that - and then measuring the impact. As a businesswoman, it's exciting because the contribution businesses in Wales can - and, generally, want - to make is a huge opportunity to get us the Cymru we need for everyone's wellbeing now and in the future. Particularly as a comms professional with a heartfelt belief in purpose, this is really powerful and engaging stuff that can bring people together with meaning - and it's national! As a trustee, it's important because the work of the Community Foundation is all about delivering a fairer, more equal Wales - including working with businesses like Principality Building Society and Newsquest to do so. And, finally, most particularly as a grandmother (no explanation needed here, so I chose a photo that sums it up ❤️). It's not too late to join Monday's session on addressing DEI burnout in the workplace. Join our community of DEI practitioners, racial equity leads, and ERG organizers to discuss how we're carrying necessary DEIB work forward despite waning interest and enthusiasm. In this workshop, we'll discuss: ☁️ What changes are contributing to declining engagement in equity and inclusion efforts? ☁️ How are economic decisions affecting staff retention, staff diversity, and charitable efforts? ☁️ How do we carry the emotional impact of witnessing waning engagement as an equity and inclusion leader? We'll gather virtually on Monday, January 15 from 3-5p EST. https://lnkd.in/gXFfMRuH

We work with 19 Land Grant Universities and help them track their Extension efforts' impact. Why did they choose us? ... #CooperativeExtension services have a MASSIVE amount of data to manage and make sense of. By nature, they are: ↳ Decentralized: Extension programs operate across vast geographic regions, making data collection a challenge. ↳ Multi-faceted: Extension's impact touches every aspect of community life, from agriculture and youth development to environmental sustainability. ↳ Data-intensive: Tracking and reporting on the results of these diverse programs can be incredibly complex. This is where PEARS comes in. Here's how it helps: → Streamline Data Management. PEARS automates data collection, analysis, and reporting, freeing up valuable time for extension educators and specialists to focus on delivering impactful programs. → Foster Greater Collaboration. The platform facilitates seamless information sharing between extension agents, researchers, and community partners, ensuring all stakeholders are on the same page. → Demonstrate Impact and Accountability. PEARS empowers universities to effectively track and showcase the positive outcomes of their community engagement efforts. Additionally, it strengthens compliance and transparency by providing a clear audit trail for extension activities. In this video, watch one Extension Director share about how the PEARS system was born AND why it's worth it. Send us questions via our page or schedule a demo 👇🏻 https://lnkd.in/edFqUcfF
What if there was one unified platform to empower Extension services? 👋🏻 Enter PEARS Watch as Gregg Hadley, the Director of K-State Research and Extension, shares about PEARS—a platform born from the need for a single, sustainable tool to evaluate Cooperative Extension service plans and demonstrate their community impact. #PEARSPartners #CooperativeExtension
