Determining an acceptable age gap in relationships is subjective and can vary depending on cultural, societal, and individual factors. What might be considered too much of an age gap for one couple may be completely acceptable for another. Here are some factors to consider: 1. **Cultural and Social Norms:** Different cultures and societies have varying perspectives on age gaps in relationships. Some may be more accepting of significant age differences, while others may frown upon them. 2. **Legal Considerations:** Ensure that the age difference complies with legal age of consent laws in your jurisdiction. It's important to be aware of and respect legal boundaries. 3. **Life Stages:** Consider the life stages of both individuals. A significant age gap might be less noticeable or problematic if both partners are in similar life stages and share common goals and interests. 4. **Communication and Compatibility:** Open and honest communication is crucial in any relationship. Ensure that both partners share similar values, interests, and long-term goals, regardless of age. 5. **Power Dynamics:** Be aware of power dynamics in the relationship. A significant age difference may lead to imbalances in power, with one partner having more life experience, financial stability, or influence. It's important that both partners feel equal and respected. 6. **Family and Friends:** Consider how both families and social circles might react to the age gap. While it's essential to prioritize your own happiness, external opinions can sometimes impact relationships. 7. **Future Planning:** Discuss your future plans, especially regarding issues like starting a family. Ensure that both partners are on the same page when it comes to important life decisions. Ultimately, the most important aspect is the consent and comfort of both individuals involved. If both partners are of legal age, communicate openly, and are comfortable with the age gap, the relationship can be successful regardless of societal norms. It's essential to focus on the quality of the relationship and the well-being of the individuals involved rather than adhering strictly to age-related guidelines.

Hot Topic: Speaking To The Stigma Society can create this narrative that you must choose between your 9-5 career or being an entrepreneur. It's a very persuasive talk said with conviction that following one dream is the only way to be fulfilled or that following your entrepreneurial dream will lead to this big salary. It’s been embedded in us as children to choose one. What do you want to be when you grow up? For me, it’s a narrow-minded way of thinking. Over the years, I've questioned this narrative and why we allow society to limit what success can look like for each individual. I feel like there is a big push for owning a business, being your brand, and making money. People feel that they won’t be supported in business if they don’t say they give 100% to this one thing. But, that's not everyone’s reality nor do they want it to be. That’s not me! I’m fulfilled pursuing my purpose in multiple lanes. I still work a career job and run a successful floral design business. Why? Because I love them both. God created the earth, the oceans, the sun, the moon, and human beings! Why? Because they all work together to create humanity. I worked very hard to receive a higher education to work in my beloved career. It was a dream that I made a reality and still is a passion to this day. I’m not going to let societal pressure dictate that I need to give up my forensics career to focus on my newfound love of floral design. I will accept support in both lanes. We have to get away from this idea that you can’t give your best to multiple ventures and be successful. We do it in life every day - being a working professional, a parent, a spouse, a friend, etc. These things we don’t have a choice and we have to balance. Balance is the keyword in this formula for success. I would like to gain different perspectives, so feedback is welcomed.
