๐๐ฆ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฆ-๐๐๐ The Tu-144, also known as the Concordski due to its similarity to the Anglo-French Concorde, was a supersonic airliner developed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s. The video shows the Tu-144 "RA-77820" taking off from Skiathos Airport in Greece on May 25, 2024. This particular aircraft is one of two Tu-144s that still exist in flying condition and has been used for carry out demonstration and charter flights in recent years. It was an innovative aircraft in its time, capable of reaching speeds of up to 2,300 kilometers per hour (Mach 2). However, its development was plagued by technical problems and accidents, and only 36 examples were built. The Tu-144 program was finally canceled in 1978 after the deaths of 144 people in a plane crash during an air show in France. Despite its short lifespan, the Tu-144 remains a symbol of the Soviet Union's technological ambition during the Cold War. Its elegant design and ability to exceed the speed of sound make it a fascinating piece of aviation history. ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ ๐จ๐ค๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ง๐ข๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ: โบ Length: 68.45 meters โบ Wingspan: 57.32 meters โบ Height: 12.84 meters โบ Maximum takeoff weight: 385 tons โบ Engines: 4 Kuznetsov NK-211 turbojets โบ Crew: 4 (pilot, co-pilot, flight engineer and navigator) โบ Passengers: 120 (maximum)
this video seems false to me... pay attention to the "public"
It can't be still flying in 2024! It also has the Soviet (not Russia) markings.
A simulation for sure, the spectators donโt move, neither does the nose wheel, and the exhaust petals donโt open with full thrust. As for โstealingโ the plans, given the physics of the mission, there were few other options given the technology of the day. I believe a UK company was hired to do the air intake controls, and perhaps other systems as well. The Canard to increase low speed lift, ie reduce AOA, and make the flaps more effective, was a good move. I think the canard was retracted at speed as well. Certainly not copied from Concorde. Yes, some attempts were made to gather information, collecting samples from the tire tracks was alleged at one stage, but after Concorde flew. Only a few years ago, Boeing rented, and flew, one of these for some experimental purposes.
Jโai des doutes sur la date au vu de lโenvironnement aeronautique et la qualitรฉ videoโฆ
Those nose wheel tyres must be a bit damaged by now! Nice aircraft, rubbish animation!
TU-144 was produced until 1984 and its last flight was in July -1999.
The video shows the Tu-144 "RA-77820" taking off from Skiathos Airport in Greece on May 25, 2024. Today is May 18, 2024, so I would say that this is the plane of the future....
