Moving Companies step up the search for qualified candidates during May in an effort to fully staff their operations in anticipation of the SUMMER BUSY SEASON. Traditionally, the HHG Industry has been served (or many would say, PESTERED!) by a small handful of recruiters professing to be experienced in staffing for the world of Moving & Storage. The landscape has changed. Today, there are many new entrants into the world of recruiting who now focus upon serving you and your peers, both in terms of filling open positions or helping candidates find new opportunities. This raises a few questions. If you would be so kind, could you respond with your answers or comments on the following?: HIRING AUTHORITIES: Do you find yourself being inundated with solicitations from recruiters either seeking your business or sending you UNSOLICITED candidates? INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS: We know that for most of you that receiving a call from a recruiter may be flattering at first, but what if after you politely turn down the recruiter's effort to have you interview with their client, they continue to call and try to persuade you to reconsider? Do you find yourself being harassed? When does "no" mean no?
