#EarthFrequencies, Sustainability at Heart On Tuesday I participated in #EarthFrequencies, an internal Accor event dedicated to the group’s global sustainability vision showcasing the crucial role of procurement in sustainable change. Spearheaded by Brune Poirson and her team, I presented how we are steering our procurement strategies towards a sustainable future alongside #SebastienBazin, Karelle Lamouche and Martine Gerow. At Accor, our commitment to sustainable procurement is embodied in the establishment of a dedicated Sustainability team. They are pivotal in achieving our commitment to the supply chain decarbonization, adoption of green energy solutions, support for the Eco certification process and the exploration of sustainable alternatives to plastic use. This organization ensures we not only meet the expectations of our guests who are increasingly seeking sustainable travel options but also those of our owners, partners and associated hotels. This is only the beginning! With the launch of the Hospitality Alliance for Responsible Procurement (#HARP) last year with our peers, we are focused on transforming the industry deeply and to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve. Sustainable procurement is vital. Its important to tackle single use plastic waste, but, in terms of tonnage, food waste is next in line, and this also needs to be tackled and then third, and not far behind is used mattresses. I have DM'd Caroline Tissot?
