Sometimes taking the “L” is the win. Was talking to a lifelong girlfriend last night and she’s in a pretty toxic situation. This situation has been going on for a couple of years easy. As girlfriend discussions go, we went through the play by play which is a remix of a remix of the last couple of years. At one point in the discussion, she says “I WILL BE VICTORIOUS” Enter the picture in my head of her in her superwoman pose with her hands on her hips, chin up and shoulders back. We finish up and I’m thinking 🤔 She’s ALREADY LOST. The whole war, all the battles and the training required to engage in all the activities, in my opinion. (She knows this is my thinking). Now we’re working on solidifying hard loss of time, effort, esteem and energy which she won’t get back or will take time to rebuild. I’ve been there - A LOT. So determined I ignored all the red flags and dead weeds. Had I noticed the signs would have told me to loop back, take a turn or at minimum reevaluate. It stinks. Sometimes taking “the L” IS the WIN. Knowing when to say when 🚩 and adjust your strategy IS the WIN. Never re-engaging in the same scenario with the same strategy IS the WIN. Taking your time back and refocusing your energy IS the WIN. Stop trying to victorious in every situation and take the “L”. Daily sales outreach metrics achieved. 2. 3 item gratitude list every morning. 3. 1 daily intentional good deed. 4. 100 calf raises. 5. Pray 🙏 So what does this list really mean? 1. I want to exceed quota and excel professionally. 2. I want to appreciate the present moment more. 3. I want to help more people. 4. I want tree trunk calves bruh. 5. I want to feel closer to God. It’s not about picking what you can do on your best day, it’s about what you can hold yourself accountable to on your worst day. 1 successful day of completing this list? Solid. 75 consecutive days of completing this list? Transformational. Pick a goal, break it into actionable steps, repeat it like your life depends on it. Simple, not easy…. Good luck.
