"When I'm taking a left-hand turn, it's unknown who is coming around that corner, so having that flashing light there is tremendous help." says Melissa Sufka. "I feel safer taking that good old left-hand turn without being afraid that somebody's going to come and clip me from the right." Our collaboration with Wavetronix has led to enhanced safety in executing unprotected left turns. By integrating our technology with Wavetronix's Advanced Sensor, we have created a sophisticated solution capable of advising drivers on the safety of making left turns. This innovation is a significant step towards improving road safety and decision-making in challenging driving scenarios! Follow the link in the post below to find out more! Wavetronix
NEW STORY ALERT! 📢 Georgia resident and driver Melissa Sufka says she’s more comfortable having her teenage driver hit the roads thanks to a solution developed by Georgia-based Applied Information using Wavetronix. See the full story: https://bit.ly/3RyOAUQ #moviemonday

👏🏽A future imagined without drunk driving with an alcohol detection system called DADSS. ⚠️According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), 1 in 4 crashes with teens involve and underage drunk driver. Our founder Lisa B. is a mother of a teenage driver who is on a mission to raise awareness of driver assistance technologies that combat the effects of #drunkdriving. 👀At a recent preview, the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) witnessed lifesaving technology that will be able to detect impairment at legal limits, preventing crashes and saving lives. Did you know DADSS detection systems may become standard for all new vehicles? 💡Empower yourself! https://lnkd.in/gxAZhX9Z #endimpaireddriving #driverassistancesystems #teenagedrivers #parents #drivesmart #drivesafe

Chairman @ Autonomy Institute | Industry 4.0 Fellow: Building Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones ARPA-I
Congratulations, Doug Thornton, Ph.D., and Lou Von Thaer. Exciting times to see the Battelle RavenStar being designed into the nation's Intelligent Infrastructure Economic Zones on Texas SH130. RavenStar will be Battelle's next Xerox. This would be very appropriate, considering Bob Metcalfe invented Ethernet while at Xerox PARC. Father of Ethernet: - “We wanted it to be Radio, but the semiconductors were not available.” https://lnkd.in/gzQZ-h7M ERA of AUTONOMY. This silicon wafer is patterned with photolithography (S1813) and metal electron beam deposition (5nm titanium followed by 50 nm gold) from the Daniel Gonzales group at Vanderbilt University. The design will be used for flexible neural probes implanted in mice and implemented in a closed-loop brain machine interface experiment. The electrodes that will be implanted in the brain are towards the center of the wafer, while the pads will connect to the circuit board are towards the outside. In the near future, the newly acquired #VINSE parylene coater will be used to make these probes both flexible and transparent by adding a base layer of parylene, allowing for both two-photon imaging and electrophysiology to be implemented in future experiments. #VINSEVandy #vinse
