Casey Brown’s Post

Today marks the last day I give a tour at Stetson University. Although this time of my life is filled with a lot of “lasts” these leadership roles have prepared me for my “firsts” post graduation. Being an Ambassador at Stetson has been one of the most rewarding experiences I had during my time as a student. This role enhanced my customer service, communication, problem solving and selling skills. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without this role. I had the privilege of helping with 11 Open Houses, giving 50+ tours, and sitting on over 5 panels to highlight the school of business, honors program, and being involved on campus. Most recently I even gave the closing speech to all the families on Hatter Saturday (over 300 people were in attendance)! But of course, my favorite part of this job was assisting in making the decision to choose Stetson easier for families! I pride myself on the connections and impact I have made with incoming families over my 2 short years in this program and I owe so much of my growth and professionalism to this role. Thank you Reneé Tutchton and Della Vaughan for getting me involved and being my mentors during this experience! Lastly, thank you Stetson University for everything!

I am excited to share that I have earned a place again on the Deans List for my hard work last semester. I earned a 3.83 gpa for the fall 2023 semester. Along with being the Chapter President of Pi Beta Phi, a freshman orientation leader, a tour guide and Stetson Ambassador, a member of the business fraternity (Alpha Kappa Psi), a member of the leadership honor society (Omicron Delta Kappa), a member of the communications honor society (Lamda Pi Eta), doing my honors program obligations, and taking on a new role as the school of business NCAA tutor, I was still able to always put my academics first. This semester taught me how to prioritize and other valuable time management skills to be able to excel in every organization and every job I do. Although some days were harder than others, gaining a spot on the deans list again shows me that it was all worth it and I wouldn’t trade my involvement and leadership opportunities outside of class for anything!
