Uniting Compassion & Design: Monte Nido’s New Awareness Campaign The team at Let's Get Weird had the privilege to collaborate with Monte Nido, a leader in eating disorder treatment. We worked with their teams to ensure that the brand's compassionate and inclusive tone effectively resonates with individuals who are open to seeking help. To achieve this, we first conducted research and held interactive brand workshops with their team. We refined their logo with the icon "New Day," symbolizing the beginning of a healing journey in a supportive environment. The design harmoniously blends natural elements—sun, flower, leaf, and nest—into a circular emblem, evoking wholeness and holistic wellness. We updated the typography to a friendly lowercase style and introduced a warm color palette to unify the brand across all digital and physical materials. The brand strategy we developed with the Monte Nido team became their visual foundation. We’re excited to share Monte Nido’s new eating disorder awareness campaign, developed in collaboration with Arnold Worldwide. This powerful campaign aims to raise awareness and help more people receive the care they need, beautifully showcasing our refreshed branding and reinforcing Monte Nido’s supportive mission under the banner of "A New Day." It's National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Our licensed professionals want to remind anyone struggling that support is available. Recovery IS possible. 💗 Warning signs of an eating disorder can include: ️✅ Extreme weight/body image concerns   ✅ Severely limiting food intake   ✅ Frequent binge eating episodes   ✅ Compulsive exercise routines Tips if you believe your loved one has an eating disorder: 1️⃣ Express care and concern in a non-judgmental way 2️⃣ Recommend seeing a doctor to rule out medical issues   3️⃣ Provide resources for professional counseling 4️⃣ Remind them daily that their life matters more than their weight  Our team can help clients heal their relationships with food/body through compassionate, evidence-based treatment plans. Becca has been battling an eating disorder for over a decade. For Eating Disorder Awareness Week, she has shared this message to inspire and educate: “There is always hope, and often hope is what holds us together when things get really dark. It’s not about expecting miracles, its believing that this struggle isn’t permanent and that things can get better. Please, never give up on someone. They may be struggling but they are not ‘too complex’, ‘beyond help’ or a ‘lost cause’. If the treatment isn’t working you change the treatment, not the prognosis. You make a plan B, C and D. You find another way. You keep trying. Eating disorders are not life sentences and recovery really is possible. Keep fighting the good fight. It gets better." #EDAW2024 #EatingDisorderAwarenessWeek

Knowledge without action could be considered a waste of time. It is true that without implementation, it will make no difference. One of the parents I worked with explained that she had been on several courses about eating disorders and had been given a sometimes overwhelming amount of information. The difference she found when working with me was that she got information in bite-sized pieces and then had an opportunity to practice and get feedback. She found the opportunity to talk about what happened in real life when she attempted to implement her knowledge invaluable.
