We are proud to announce that two members from our Board of Trustees, Dr. Njwen Anyangwe and Dr. Suzanne Fitzpatrick, were co-authors on a recent publication in Regulatory #Toxicology and #Pharmacology Journal titled "Retrospective analysis of #dog study data from food and color additive petitions." Highlights from the publication include: 1. Dog study data were analyzed from a sample of food and color additive petitions. 2. In 38% of petitions, dog data were explicitly used to make safety decisions. 3. In 56% of petitions, data from dog studies were considered supplemental/supportive. 4. Study design contributed greatly to the data and species selected for ADI derivation. 5. Regulatory scientists need confidence that alternative models can predict human toxicity.
