Most effective framework I have found to draft crisp problem statement was answering the following questions clearly: WHO is/ are the user/s? (People/ Personas facing the problem) WHAT are the pain points of the users? (What are the users trying to achieve with this?) WHERE is the product supposed to be used? (As in the situation the user is in) WHEN does the problem occur? (As in the condition the user is in) WHY is the problem important? (What business metrics are involved?) Works every time!

Look, it’s only a best practice if you do it with intention. If you just blindly apply it to every scenario and use case, well, then it's likely you used it in situations where another solution would have been better. Ergo, it's *not* the best practice. Blindly applying best practices to everything is how we get frameworks. And while frameworks can be useful, fundamentally they suck. Know when to break the rule. Study the fundamentals.
