This offer includes securing these regions and establishing a U.S. consulate in Nyala. Al-Fashir would be designated as a humanitarian-only city, with both RSF and military forces withdrawing. While the RSF is considering this unprecedented proposal, it's unclear if the military leadership has been informed.

🇦🇲🇺🇸 On the joint exercises of Armenia and the USA Eagle Partner The Armenian Ministry of Defense announced that Armenian-American exercises Eagle Partner 2024 will be held in the country from July 15 to 24. ▪️Official sources indicate that the maneuvers will involve servicemembers of the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces, the U.S. Army in Europe and Africa, and the Kansas National Guard. ▪️The stated goal of the exercises is to increase the level of operability of units for peacekeeping operations, exchange experience in management and tactical communication, as well as to improve the combat readiness of the Armenian peacekeeping unit. ▪️The Armenian-American exercises Eagle Partner were held for the first time in September 2023. Although it is a matter of training a peacekeeping contingent that usually serves in Kosovo, the maneuvers, as in the previous year, are more of a political demonstration than of practical significance. 🔻The Americans' designation of their presence in the Caucasus, together with statements about strategic rapprochement with Armenia, are irritants both for Russia, which is trying to expel from the region, and for Iran, which opposes the change in the balance of power and the military presence of the West near its borders. However, for the Armenian government, it is now important to show the acquisition of new allies in order to demonstrate at least some achievements to society. And it is not so crucial that these "allies" are globally advantageous to strategically weaken Armenia in the form of the loss of territories vital for it. #Armenia #USA
