Public engagement is so important for a public agency like PlanRVA. Positive connections with the community matter, and this plan lays out the framework for the approach to make that connection. Take a few minutes and let them know whether they're getting it right or if there's something else to consider.
Help us ensure our Public Engagement Plan is on the right track. It is intended as a broad guide of what to consider when we engage the public for our transportation activities. Your comments are welcome: https://lnkd.in/eFj_GpFf

I recently had the privilege to sit down with Christopher Lavoie, CMCP and Brad Fitzgerald of Penobscot Regional Communications Center to discuss at length their incredible contact center transformation, which has already improved public safety services in Penobscot County, ME. In a short amount of time Penobscot has seen a 20%+ increase in call diversion on their emergency phone lines, which allows Penobscot County to better serve true emergencies, while still providing fast resolutions to non-emergency inquiries. Their non-emergency call diversion solution isn't just a new contact center deployment, it's transforming the way the people of Penobscot County communicate with emergency and non-emergency services. Penobscot Regional Communications Center is pioneering this technology, and our goal at Morse. is to enable widespread adoption around the county, which will improve quality of life for people all across America. Let's set a new standard in public safety. Watch the conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gVuYveV8

KEEPING LINES OF COMMUNICATION OPEN No matter the level of government, federal, state or local it's important to keep the lines of communication open so all levels can work together for the betterment of our communities. That's why is was good to catch up with Mackay Regional Council Mayor Greg Williamson and CEO Scott Owen to discuss different projects that council has on its radar and possible funding opportunities to get them underway. It can only be a step in the right direction if we work together to grow a stronger future for all. #growingastrongerfuture
