I talk and share about Automotive Technologies

Elon Musk provides internet to Ukrainians 🇺🇦using Starlink satellites 🛰 after a request from the Vice PM of #Ukraine “Elon Musk, while you try to colonise Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people!" tweeted Mykhailo Fedorov (vice Prime Minister) Within 10 hours, Elon Musk ⚡️replied: "#Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route." edit for those who continue to say it is not true and/or it is useless ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dUrXyHe5 You may like him or not but he is a hero forcing admiration Thank you Elon Musk, Tesla and SpaceX News by Newslines #tesla #spacex

Someone in the comments on this post asked why « internet » was so important… Russian attacks (1st March few min ago) in Kiev are now targeting communication systems that are used by the Ukrainian people and government! I hope that Starlink can really make a difference here as a safety line keeping important communication alive

Dear Cecile PERA, 📺 Elon Musk ; Date of Birth: Monday, June 28, 1971. Russia is on the space when Eon Musk was not born. 📺 Oct. 4, 1957 Russia Friday night announced the first successful launching of an earth satellite. The launching beat the United States by at least several months in the program to hurl an artificial moon into space during the current International Geophysical 📺 Mir was a space station that operated in low Earth orbit from 1986 to 2001 📺 In 2018, the Ministry of Defense said that the Russian orbital assets had included 150 satellites. So you are comparing with a tiger with a small hound.

Cecile PERA I don't understand the purpose. Maybe I am too old school to understand the need for the internet in the middle of the war. Is it for people to communicate with their loved ones elsewhere or is it to improve war tactics. I might be missing something here.

You need a special kit and antena that costs a fortune to use starlink and I doubt anyone in Ukraine have this. Not to mention that if you order it today it’ll arrive by 2023. Unless he’ll provide for everything else of course for the infrastructure. Which will be amazing then https://www.starlink.com/kit

What need an ordinary citizen UA for connection to the internet via Starlink ?? Some device , or not ? If yes, where they get it ? Maybe this help is only for government.

Giving Ukraine access to his internet service is just a nice gesture. It does not turn Elon Musk into a hero.

Cecile PERA this is politicising, nothing to do with automotive technology.
