The use of SCO-101 plus leucovorin, fluorouracil, and irinotecan (FOLFIRI) was found to increase efficacy and maintain safety and tolerability for a small cohort of patients with metastatic #colorectalcancer (CRC), according to results from part 3 of the phase 2a CORIST #clinicaltrial (NCT04247256). In part 3, the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 4.6 months, and after 8 weeks of treatment, the clinical benefit rate (CBR) was 76%. Today, we shared an update on the SAB-142 trial for #type1diabetes: we have completed dosing the third cohort for SAB-142 with no observation of serum sickness thus far. Phase 1 of SAB-142 is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single-ascending dose, adaptive design clinical study was designed to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of intravenous SAB-142 in healthy volunteers and participants with T1D. SAB-142 is a first-in-class human anti-thymocyte immunoglobulin being developed as a disease-modifying treatment to delay the onset and progression of T1D.

CroiValve yesterday presented favourable 6-month data from the TANDEM I first-in-human study of its novel Duo transcatheter tricuspid coaptation valve system for treating tricuspid regurgitation. The unique Duo system works in tandem with the native valve using a novel anchoring approach across the annulus. Key results showed: 📉 Significant TR reduction in ≥85% of patients 🚀 Improved quality of life 💯 100% survival, no arrhythmias/pacing issues  🎯 Successful device positioning/remodeling ⏱️ With a 43 minute average procedure time, the Duo system demonstrates early promise for treating tricuspid valve disease. 💪 CroiValve will continue evaluating this innovative therapy through additional clinical studies. #TTVR #MedTech #structuralheart #medicaldevices

(4/9) PI3Kα-Driven Vascular Malformations is the first of two programs in #geneticdisease that we unveiled today. #Vascularmalformations are a series of rare syndromes that occur due to atypical development of lymphatic and/or blood vessels, of which mutant PI3Kα is the most common driver. There are over ~170,000 patients with PI3Kα-driven vascular malformations in the U.S. We believe our mutant-selective PI3Kα inhibitor, RLY-2608, provides the opportunity for greater target coverage, leading to the potential for improved efficacy and better chronic tolerability for these patients. We plan to initiate clinical development in Q1 2025.

If there was a particular treatment that worked 94% of the time, would you claim that it was placebo? Unlikely. In 2022, Radiation Oncologists from Spain conducted a prospective trial of 100 patients with osteoarthritis of the hands. They were given low dose radiation therapy (LDRT) and followed for 3,6, and 12 months. Here were the results: ❇️ 94% of the patients reported significant pain reduction ❇️ 70% of patients reported improved functional performance ❇️Responses were evaluated with VAS for pain and VPS for joint functionality ❇️ 50% of the patients had a second course of LDRT. Positive results in the FYDES study of our subsidiary SYLENTIS 👁️ The clinical trial evaluated the long-term safety of its drug in patients with dry eye disease. With the participation of 301 patients at 26 centers in the United States, FYDES met its primary objective by demonstrating the safety of the ophthalmic solution.  👉 Main findings: 🎯 Primary objective achieved: long-term safety confirmed. 📈 Other results: no clinically relevant changes in other ocular safety parameters, laboratory values, or body temperature were detected.  This breakthrough is key to providing new options for the 300 million people affected by dry eye disease.  We remain committed to innovation to improve the eye health of our patients. 💙  https://lnkd.in/dkfA3_Zn
