As the City of Turku is waiting for the Mission Label (🤞🏼) we are currently preparing a second round for partners to join Turku's Climate City Contract with their commitments this spring. A good summary of the whole CCC in the article by NetZeroCitiesEU. "In reality, city administrations only have direct influence over a portion of the city’s total emissions. In order for the process to be a success, it is crucial that other actors are on board too and are given the space to lead this where necessary. They will be key to the actions and investments that are needed, so it makes sense to also involve them in helping to align and develop the plan."

A new #MissionCities' Policy Brief on Finance & Investment is out! Developed from the Policy Lab, facilitated by NetZeroCitiesEU with 13 participating Mission Cities, this brief tackles financial and investment challenges faced by cities on their journey to climate neutrality. It provides solutions for navigating funding policies and attracting private investment. At the Policy Lab, three Mission Cities - Ayuntamiento de Valladolid, stad Leuven, and Gemeente Den Haag on behalf of Dutch cities, acted as challenge owners, with 10 other cities contributing their insights and experiences.
