Yesterday, I had the chance to defend my senior thesis for the South Carolina Honors College as well as present at Discover USC to receive my Graduation with Leadership Distinction from USC's Center for Integrative and Experiential Learning. Being a year and a half in the making, my senior thesis entitled "Making Baseball Ap-peeling: How the path of promotion and sport entertainment led to Bananaland, follows teams and influential people, such as the Harlem Globetrotters and Bill Veeck, and how they impacted the viral sensation that is the Savannah Bananas. I have had an incredible time working on this project. Thank you to Andy Gillentine and Bill Sutton for supporting me and guiding me along this journey. At Discover USC, I present on Seeing the Bigger Picture: Where Strategy Meets Student Media. This presentation follows my experiences as an Event Coordinator and the Assistant Director of Promotions for Garnet Media Group and how that connects with my senior marketing courses.
