I was honored to do a poster presentation titled “ESCALATE Stigma Reduction Learning Collaborative: Moving Towards Stigma Reduction Using Interventions and Quality Improvement Methodologies” at the 2024 National Ryan White Conference On HIV Care & Treatment. This poster demonstrated the utilization of a learning collaborative and quality improvement tools to facilitate and foster discussions on HIV stigma reduction. #NRWC #stigmareduction #qualityimprovement

Did you know that although Black/African Americans represent almost 13 percent of the U.S. population, in 2019 they accounted for 42.1 percent of #HIV infection cases. In 2020, African Americans were 7.8 times more likely to be diagnosed with HIV infection, as compared to the white population. Once people contract HIV, they have it for life. But with proper medical care, HIV can be controlled. People with HIV who receive effective HIV treatment like the #qualitycare that Broadway House for Continuing Care provides, they can live long, healthy lives. Awareness is key! #StopHIVTogether

Why our work in HIV Prevention matters: If global HIV targets are not met, there could be nearly 35 million new HIV acquisitions and nearly 18 million AIDS-related deaths between 2021 and 2050, according to a new analysis.
