➤ Trained Professional Organizer in Edmonton and Virtual. Working with people wanting to clear the clutter and live a more spacious life. ➤ Gestionnaire des Jeux de la francophonie canadienne
Does this sound like you? You've gotten uncomfortable or even overwhelmed with what’s in your physical space or in your head, you enthusiastically jump in to do something about it, only to quickly become discouraged. But, shouldn’t organizing or tidying make the clutter disappear? Well yes, sometimes, but not always. To ensure success, you need to understand the difference between decluttering, organizing, tidying and cleaning. Depending on the result you're after, you’ll be more likely to succeed if you choose the right activity. These differences may seem obvious, but knowing them will help you speak Professional Organizer language, if you ever wish to work with one. For example, people often ask me for organizing tips. They talk about their lack of systems and, as true as that may be, clutter is often their real issue. So, let’s establish some clear definitions, shall we? https://lnkd.in/gwSEqbvK

Do you go up the stairs to get to the top? Or do you go up for the rush of sliding down? Stairs are conditional. They create a safe and supportive environment for all separate blocks to come together and help you to move upward. Reaching the top is important, because once you have, your focus shifts to maintaining your position and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of how you got there. Walking up the stairs gets you to your reward. A position you unlikely want to surrender. However… A slide is a door to a unique experience triggering insights, forcing out laughter, and freshening your sense of perspective. The slide poses a fundamental question: After investing significant effort to climb to the top, would you choose to revisit the base? Would you re-engage with all the operational elements, listen to diverse opinions, and would you choose to have the conversations that drive innovation from the ground up? The stair and slide challenges us to consider how we build systems that not only allow for upward mobility but also celebrate the return to foundational and tangible principles and creating space for new ideas. So why did I share this image? The ascent represents our quest for excellence and the systemic impact we aspire to achieve. The descent, with its unique joys and learnings, reminds us of the value of grounded action and reconnecting with our roots. Together the stairs and slide maintain a balance between reaching the top and remaining firmly planted in the fertile ground of collaboration, creativity, and continuous movement. Let me know what you think and what other stairs I need to visualize! #stairmastery #stairsandslides #balance #symbiosis #valueengineering #prismaticaNL
