On Day 3 (final day) of #DimsumDialogue, participants from Table 1 had an animated discussion concerning the role of cultural experts in arbitrations to aid arbitrators in understanding the cultural nuances underlying disputes. The discussion also touched on the importance of impartiality in #arbitration across cultures, emphasising the need for arbitrators to maintain neutrality despite personal friendships and cultural obligations. Despite cultural differences, there was a unanimous consensus that the integrity of impartiality and the commitment to resolving disputes remain largely unaffected by personal connections. 🤝 We would like to thank Karen Petch for moderating Table 1 on Day 3 of Dimsum Dialogue, and for sharing these key insights with us. We are sure that the attendees which included Gourab Banerji SA, Sitpah Selvaratnam, Eun Young Park, Andrew Rigden Green FCIArb FHKIArb FSIArb, Yi-Shun Teoh, and Charles Allen FCIArb have brought significant value to the conversation. Feel free to chime in with your thoughts below! 👇 Thank you once again to everyone who participated in Dimsum Dialogue. We look forward to more events like this in the future and hope to have you join us again! ✨ #DimsumDialogueDiscussions #ICCA2024 #InternationalArbitration #LegalPractice #Culture #ConversationalLeadership

Yesterday, I presented the DKKIAN Performance Report as a testament of public accountability. Today, I am excited to share another significant document which is complementary to the performance report—the Annual Report. While the performance report is more formally written and systematically structured, the annual report adopts a more vibrant, dynamic, and lively approach. It is quite rich with visual elements such as photos, infographics, and illustrations, in order to captivate the audience's attention. It also displays a lot of statistical data to make it easier to grasp the essence of the message without having to read long paragraphs. All of work units in National Institute of Public Administration are obliged to publish annual report, serving as a vital medium for public communication between NIPA and its diverse stakeholders. Beyond its communicative role, it stands as an inseparable facet of accountability, strengthening the transparency principle of the institution. Through its engaging design and informative content, the annual report underscores NIPA's commitment to fostering open communication and accountability within its broader community. #annualreport #accountability
