Alfa Romeo F1 is exiting F1 after 6 seasons as a title sponsor. It was a premature exit since they couldn't find another suitable team in the series. Despite all that, it is one of the most successful title sponsorships recently. I didn't even recall that the "Alfa Romeo" team was just naming rights. Behind the scenes, it was all Sauber Group. (I know short-sighted from me) Let's make it easy on everyone and call the teams like this. Haas: The Banbury Team Sauber: The Hinwill Team Alpine: The Enstone Team Williams: The Grove Team McLaren: The Woking Team Ferrari: The Maranello Team Alpha Tauri: The Faenza Team Mercedes: The Brackley Team Red Bull: The Milton Keynes Team Aston Martin: The Silverstone Team But let me ask a hypothetical question. McLaren announced on Tuesday that Alpinestars is the new technical clothing partner in Formula 1, IndyCar, Formula E, Extreme E and F1 Academy. This is the reason why Sparco has not been on the McLaren partnership list 2024. When we look at the Aston Martin list Alpinestars is missing, so perhaps McLaren and Aston Martin switch the partnerships, Alpinestars moving to McLaren and Sparco goes to Aston Martin. Sparco announced a partnership with RedBull in October 2023, so Sparco is making some changes. That leaves Haas and McLaren with Alpinestars. Aston Martin is loosing Peroni to Ferrari, as Asahi Group has signed with Ferrari. That could bring Spanish Hijos de Rivera and Estrella Galicia to Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso. Taking into consideration McLaren has the largest partnership network the changes are minor.

More race cars. More competition in Formula One?. Competition can and should be healthy. Rivalry doesn’t always mean enemies. Tonight our ChIef Commercial Officer got what is factually and legally known as a ‘social nod’ from the legend, Mario Andretti. So it’s odd (from the outside) that the threat of ‘new’ competition seems to have inspired nothing but 👻ing by F1/FOM regarding Andretti Global? Why so quiet Formula 1 / FOM? Is it really the sharing of your coveted prize fund pie 🥧 (😭 cry us a river). Or, perhaps it’s the threat of new teams poaching some of your people from your ever decreasing, little pond of talent and, dare we say, competing against you? What are ya 🐓? The ‘Pinnacle of Motorsport’ really should put on their big girl/boy pants (trousers) on and consider the long-term benefits of inclusion, rather than the short-term gains of exclusion. Some expect us [LKYSUNZ] to be bitter or angry at Andretti Global for being the only new team to be awarded an FIA license to enter F1. Why? That makes ZERO sense. We’re looking forward to the Andretti name making a long overdue return to F1 and wish them every success. The achievements Andretti have brought to the world of Motorsport is there for all to see.
