This formula gives your presentation a focus and things to think about during preparation.

Children are skipping school meals because of unappealing food and long queues, impacting academic performance, physical development and mental health, as well as increasing food waste. Determined to deliver healthy lunches that pupils would choose to eat, Alliance in Partnership challenged us to reinvent school food and reestablish dining rooms as the focal point of school communities. The result is The Kitcheneers, a category-defying approach to school food that started, not with governors and suppliers, but with today’s pupils. Yammy, are we merely reinventing the wheel? It seems we're simply oiling the rusty traditions of home cooking that have been neglected in recent times. But, honestly we are on a greater mission. A question we can ask ourselves - What kind of memories do we want to leave with our children as parents? A McDonald's "Happy Meal" or a store-bought "Frozen Pizza" every weeknight? I think not! Our aim is to reignite the joy of cooking nourishing, plant-based meals that bring excitement to everyone in the family, especially your children. Don't we all recall our favorite childhood meals, most likely lovingly prepared by our mothers, fathers, or grandparents? We aspire to cultivate a deep connection between food, nutrition, tradition, and quality time spent between parents and kids. As an impact organization, we're on a mission to empower families to rediscover their passion for cooking. This is one of our key propositions that we'd like to explore with parents. We're seeking the Hague municipality's support to host a pilot "Healthy Plant-Based Cooking Workshop" for families, guiding and educating them through an interactive, hands-on experience. A 2022 scientific paper highlights that involving children in food preparation can foster the development of healthy cognitive skills and eating behaviors, which significantly impact long-term health across various domains. Investing in cooking education for kids should be complemented by training for parents on effectively involving children in food preparation at home.
