In a survey by Hubspot, 79% of the respondents have made a purchase after seeing a paid advertisement on social media. This isn't just happening in the air! So, what is Starbucks' SO CALLED STRATEGY to stay on Cloud 9 all the time? CHASING THE CORRECT TRENDS! I am not talking about those flowery and wavery Insta trends! (This is the AUDIENCE-PERSPECTIVE trend) How? Starbucks is a firm believer in LGBTQ+ rights. When the pride wave rose, Starbucks came forward and run the #ExtraShotOfPride campaign. They also shared quotes and stories of various Starbucks employees cherishing the pride spirit. Well, it's Starbucks and this is just the first strategy of how they engage their audience. Brands coming out at Pride is more vital than ever 🌈 For a long time, many queer people have directed understandable scepticism toward brands and businesses’ involvement in Pride festivities, whether it be marching in parades, hosting panel discussions or releasing limited edition products. Regardless of this, there’s no questioning the impact that visible mainstream allyship can have. For example, a Tesco Express donning rainbow flags including in its most rural of stores, or Virgin Atlantic releasing an all-inclusive travel ad ✈️ Until recently, it felt like brands and businesses were part of a proactive wider effort to change hearts and minds. They were setting precedents and, loudly and proudly, telling customers and consumers that queer people are deserving of equal love, respect and safety. Today, it feels like that’s shifted. Instead of these brands moving the dial on the public, we’re starting to see examples of them being bullied out of their efforts by loud (and very online) minorities of bigots, in particular transphobes. The latest high-profile example of this is Target in the US, who moved their Pride displays from the front to the backs of stores after conservative activists vandalized them. Target has since confirmed it will be scaling back its Pride activities for 2024 🎯 At a time where so many of our media outlets and ‘leaders’ continue using LGBT lives to sell stories, stoke division and act as political footballs, it’s more important than ever for brands and businesses who declare themselves inclusive to come out and Pride (and beyond) stand up for us publicly. #pride #pridemonth #pridesponsors #brandsatpride #pridepartnerships #pridecampaigns

🏳️🌈 June is Pride Month 🏳️🌈 It commemorates the Stonewall riots of June 1969, which were a turning point in the LGBTQIA+ rights movement. It's a time to celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities, raise awareness about LGBTQIA+ issues, and advocate for equality and inclusion. On the other hand, many companies support the LGBTQIA+ community through inclusion programs, rebranding with rainbow colors hiring LGBTQIA+ employees and incorporating this KPI’s into their internal metrics. In 2022 Statista conducted a survey revealing that 42% of respondents experienced non-inclusive behaviors in their workplace, 33% reported receiving jokes or sexual comments, 31% encountered jokes directed at them, 25% faced disrespectful comments about their identity and 20% experienced social exclusion. This raises the crucial question is ¿Does true inclusion exists within companies? Personally, I’ve encountered such behaviors in various phases of my work life. I believe that while some companies genuinely make significant efforts internally to understand and promote inclusion, others merely do so for the sake of statistics. I hope more companies embrace an inclusive from within. Meantime I will try my best to continue promoting inclusion and advocating for secure spaces. #HappyPrideMonth🏳️🌈

Witnessing their bravery and authenticity has been a source of immense pride and has underscored the necessity of creating environments—both at home and in the workplace—where everyone can be their true selves without fear. The importance of such inclusivity is not just anecdotal; it's backed by data. Research indicates that companies emphasizing diversity and inclusion are 35% more likely to outperform their less inclusive counterparts. But beyond statistics, it's the personal stories—like those of my children—that remind us of the intrinsic value in championing a culture where every individual is seen, heard, and valued.
