Hire Underdogs Hire Human Beings Hire Two For The Same Role (Read What I Mean) Hiring the underdog instead of someone from a big brand company can bring fresh perspectives, creativity, and hunger for success. Individuals from big brand companies may rely heavily on the reputation of their previous organization, while underdogs often have a strong drive to prove themselves. It is important not to solely rely on a resume when making hiring decisions. Understanding the person behind the qualifications and experiences is vital. Look for values, motivations, cultural fit, and potential for growth within the organization. Hiring two people for the same role simultaneously can provide a useful comparison. If one person outperforms the other, it could indicate a personnel issue such as lack of motivation or skill. If both hires underperform, it suggests a problem with the system or processes in place. This approach helps identify the root cause and tackle it effectively.
