I vividly recall the groundbreaking moment in 2014 when the first Smartphone flash sale at Flipkart went live (possibly for a Motorola phone). None of us knew what to expect, we had a print ad, online campaigns etc and we were amazed to see products flying even before 8 am. For most consumers, much before newspaper even reached them we were out of stock. That moment created an all new industry !! Fast forward a decade, mobile flash sales have evolved significantly since then. Like a decade before, I had no idea on what to expect. In no time, we started trending in India (crazy!) and we saw 5X traffic on our app between 12 noon to 1 pm, also some crazy number of downloads.
